Conservation Education

Our mission is to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, wildlife and habitats for the benefit of humanity and the Earth’s biological diversity.

Education is our primary goal, both in Santa Fe and around the state, where our staff of environmental educators blend scientific concepts with literacy, hands-on learning, and scientific inquiry in a unique setting.

PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN & SCHOOLS

An exciting array of natural science programs and topics are available to children from schools, home school groups, after school programs and other groups. Our field trip classes offer interactive science activities designed to complement teacher’s science curriculum and fulfill New Mexico science standards. The educators at Randall Davey Audubon Center blend scientific concepts with literacy, reading, math, history and inquiry. Classes are filled with hands-on activities and outdoor experiences in our 135 acre wildlife sanctuary bordering the Santa Fe National Forest at the end of Upper Canyon Road. Groups and kids of all ages can explore our 1300-square foot classroom and the natural world surrounding it. For details about our programs please down load our brochure in PDF or HTML format.
