Grasslands interspersed with
agricultural land on the eastern edge of New Mexico. Multiple ownership,
primarily private. |
| Birds |
When playas are full, large numbers of waterfowl and
shorebirds migrate through. In winter large numbers of waterfowl use the playas.
Grasslands can be productive for sparrows especially Grasshopper Sparrow in
breeding season.
