Southwest Birdathon Recap 2022

The 2022 Audubon Southwest Birdathon took place over a weeklong period of May 9-15, where individuals and teams picked a 24-hour period over the course of that week to go birding and count as many different species as they could. Every dollar raised supported Audubon Arizona and Audubon New Mexico's work to protect birds and the places they need. This year’s Birdathon raised over $2,000 for birds and their habitats.

Whether you’re inspired by a love of birds, concern for the environment, or the sheer pleasure of being outdoors, the Audubon Birdathon is a great opportunity to do something positive for the planet—and have fun doing it! We’ve lost three billion birds and two-thirds of all North American species are threatened by climate change, therefore community science and outreach initiatives, like Birdathon, are more crucial than ever.

There is still time to donate to help birds! Thank you for the support.
